Each one is its own small world

Every unit sits in its own pocket of trees, with fire pits, curated trails and a bathhouse shared across the village. Book instantly on Airbnb where a listing exists, or enquire below to book direct — which is how most groups take more than one unit.

The kitchen in The Elk at Round Mountain Retreat — knotty-pine cabinets and beams, a gas range, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator and a long shelf of mugs.
A bedroom in The Elk at Round Mountain Retreat, made up in grey linen beneath a wide blind-shaded window, with a wooden nightstand and a brass reading lamp.
The indoor bathroom in The Elk at Round Mountain Retreat — a white sink set into a wood vanity, a gold-framed mirror reflecting the walk-in shower, a basket of rolled towels and a towel hung from an antler rack on the log wall.

New cabin · sleeps 6 · two storeys

The Caribou

Our newest cabin, and the one people ask about the moment they see it. Cedar plank walls, a timber staircase up to the loft, and beds for six: two queen beds and two twin beds. Downstairs there is a small fridge, a coffee maker and a dining table with chairs — enough to make breakfast slow and unhurried before anyone puts boots on. Your bathroom and hot shower are in the bathhouse — a short walk from the cabin, not inside it.

New · four yurts
The woodchip path into The Village at Round Mountain Retreat, string lights glowing through the pines above a hand-painted sign reading THE VILLAGE — where the four luxury yurts stand.
Four luxury yurts · two queens each · sleeps 4

The Village Yurts

Four luxury yurts now stand in the village — the lit clearing at the centre of the property, a short walk from the fire pit, the bathhouse and the trailheads. Canvas walls, two queen beds in every yurt — so each one sleeps four, sixteen across the village — and the sound of the forest doing what it does at night. They are the reason a large group can now sleep together on the land instead of splitting up between here and a motel in town.

  • 2 queen beds each
  • Sleeps 4 each
  • In the village clearing
  • Shared fire pit
  • Bathhouse steps away
  • Trailheads on the doorstep
  • Pet friendly

The photograph above is the village clearing the yurts stand in, not a yurt — interior photography is still on its way. The beds are confirmed: two queen beds in each yurt, sleeping four. Call us on (650) 889-9272 and we will confirm exactly how your group fits.

The Tamarack

The one that started the yurts. A spacious luxury canvas yurt in its own clearing with oversized windows, a desk and seating area, and a queen bed. No electricity — that is the point. Trade screens for stars, lit by lanterns and the fire pit just outside.

  • Oversized windows
